Stay up with me while I finish a painting, even if it’s only to provide an occasional smile across the room, and a speedy change of DVD’s so I don’t sit and listen to the 30 second menu music loop. Make me a sundae, and while bringing it to me, tell me that I’m beautiful. If you love me treat tuesday special and greet me with a big hug. If you want to show me that you love me put it in writing, put it on your face, and tell me secrets and truths. If you insist on buying me something, let it be an experience or an adventure. If you love me don’t buy me a teddy bear for Valentine’s day. Don’t spend your money on thoughtless junk that I’ll have to find a place for and periodically dust. Give me time. Give me of yourself. *shrugs* John Mayer wrote a love song for no one, can’t I give Valentine Gift advice for no one?
I do, however, appreciate chocolates. =)
