I’ve been running for years. I even ran a marathon a summer ago. I know how many miles it is to run any of the streets around my house, and the centenial trail near my house. I know which music I need to load into my mp3 player for a long run, as well as the kinds of energy bars that I like (and despise). My shoes are custom fitted running shoes that I bought at a running shoe store, and yet, I’ve always felt like kind of a fake. I never really felt like runner- but now, it’s official. I’m suffering from the knee ailment known as Runner’s Knee. I had to walk the last 2 miles of my 8 mile run today so that I wouldn’t aggravate it any further. While I am tickled to be able to officially call myself a runner, I am annoyed that it is because of something that will stop me from running and slow my training. Gr. =)
oh! and it’s gorgeous outside! I didn’t mind the 2 mile walk because the weather is heavenly!
laura. =)
