I am engaged! This is my handsome fiancee. His name is Garth Bradley Plouzek and he is not only a sharp dresser and skilled lunch tray holder (as you can see here)…he is also perfect for me in more ways than I can even know. So many wonderful things are spread out before us, and I am just enjoying his smile as he sips his hot chocolate and the way that he squeezes my hand.

weddingness including places and dates will follow fo’ sho’…but uh…we need to figure it out before we can tell you. =)

oh…and I suppose many of you will want to know the details…he asked me in Ghirardelli’s in downtown San Diego after a Harry Connick, Jr. concert. He was wearing a maroon bowtie, didn’t finish his decadent drinking chocolate, and the timing and the ring were total surprises to me. We played I Spy and he slipped the little white box next to me without me noticing, said, “I spy with my somewhat naked eye something shiny”, and patiently waited for twenty minutes while I failed to narrow down my search from the chocolates and locals in the shop to the yet unnoticed box. He finally had to give me a hint (“it’s by your left elbow”) and I was so flushed from the surprise that it took me several moments to be calm enough to open the box. =)
