I was running an errand on my bicycle today and stopped in at a little thrift shop that I had forgotten about. I wandered around for about 15 minutes and gathered my usual thrift store merchandise: woven neckties, a few old books with great covers, and a watters and watters dress, and headed for the register. The sweet lady behind the counter chatted about every item as she placed them in a bag. I peeked at the items in the glass case that seperated us and saw, in a little plastic tub, an assortment of old scissors that contained that largest pair of scissors that I’d ever seen. I had to take them home. Every self-respecting art teacher must have a pair of scissors larger than her head. *sigh* I have arrived. (and notice the Napoleon Dynamite impression going on with my mouth!)
It’s an added bonus that the maker of the scissors, one Dick Blick Co, is my prefered art supply vendor. They just rule.
Back to making for me- hope you’re all enjoying your tuesday!
