I used to be really worried that everyone would be like me. I hid my ideas. I was stingy with praise and encouragement if someone was doing something similar to me. I felt this sense of urgency to be the first, the best, the most genuine.

I was wrong of course. I learned in preschool to share my toys, and what’s true for toys is true for everything else that makes you happy. Share it. Give it away. You’ll be surprised to find that it replenishes itself. You’ll be surprised to find it painted on the walls of your city, and beaming out of the faces of strangers.
