Good luck with picking. We could never really find what we wanted for Camden's room so I ended up making something. It still wasn't what I wanted, but at least it wasn't pastel. (I'm with you on the pastel thing....to me they are so depressing.) We did get the walls a color we all like though...bright orange and we did finlly finish deco podgeing the old dresser from my parent's. I have a hard time spending money on things that will only be used for a little while. (ie crib, rocker, changing talble...) You are so creative and I'm sure you'll come up with something awesome for little Jack!

You've got some great rooms to choose from! And I have the same collecting habits myself. Luckily, since the baby was born, I've been able to get rid of a lot of stuff. Hopefully that will happen for you too (except then you start getting so much baby stuff it's insane).

I love your creativity and how unique you are. I saw my little nephew's future nursery and you are not the only one getting away from the cliche baby nursery stuff. They chose a really neat geometrical pattern with browns and greens and oranges. Amber even went so far as to paint a replica mural of the baby comforter on the wall. To break up the pattern they have simple solid rugs and lamps etc in some of the others of the pattern. I thought it was really neat. Good luck with everything and deciding where it needs to go I know it will all turn out great.

i got the matching bedding but it was never on the bed at the same time and relised how silly i had been. I ended up putting the quilt on the wall and keeping the cloud covered bed skirt on because it matched the clouds you painted on the ceiling.
I can't wait to see what Jack's room becomes. He is one lucky little boy to have you as a mom.

I so love your creative ways. :) I haven't been able to find a nursery theme/ crib bedding that I like either. I've just been grabbing things I like in various styles and putting them together in my little portable crib. Mostly browns, greens, and blues... I love the things that stick out in many of those photos, like the unique rugs or the sock monkey holders on the wall, and I love the little bird mobile, so cute... I wonder how hard it would be to make a little birdie mobile in browns, blues, and greens. hmmm....
