I rised and shined this morning before the sun to lug my journals to the flea market for a little experiment. It was a lovely day. I had hostess donuts and the sun was warm and delicious (once he decided to appear). A nice young lady named Chloe was on one side of me selling some vintage items, and to the other side a family of 5 selling tomatoes, strawberries, and blueberries (“fresh strawberries! 2 for 5, try ‘em free, they’re sweet”).
Outcome: my hypothesis was correct. People that scavenge at flea markets are not looking for $12 handmade journals. They will, however, purchase tomatoes from a man with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, eating an enchilada. I didn’t sell a single thing, which was fine- I knew that it was a risk- and knew that it probably wouldn’t be a good fit. There is a downtown farmer’s market about a mile away from my house that I think I’ll try next week, or the week after that.
Happy weekend everyone!

I woke up way too late. I wish I couldn’t have miss you selling your things. I would have totally bought one of your journals. But I did get your email so thanks for that! If you do it next week I will not miss it for sure.
Those are cute! I love the Alice in Wonderland one, what a cute idea to use children’s books as covers. You have these in your etsy shop? I’ll have to go take a look, these would be way cute in Easter baskets.
