chaos

October 15th, 2009 by admin

the chaos that is my home.

I make costumes. I am used to spending the month of October in my pajamas night and day, eating hot pockets when I remember to eat, and watching too much daytime tv and I sew and sew and sew. This year I have a little helper, Mr. Jack. Trying to stay on track with what I used to be able to do (pre-motherhood) has meant that many other things have slipped by the wayside. Like cleaning. Cooking meals. Sweeping floors. Taking walks. Grocery Shopping. and cleaning. Nothing has been put in it’s place or even put back in the fridge for two weeks- and it looks like a hurricaine ripped through here (minus the water). (Thankk goodness for a super sweet husband who took it upon himself to do some dishes and run some laundry, or we’d be wearing the same undies as last week).
The end is near however and the week ahead of me is the last that I’ll be making costumes (three Moishe’s and a set of Peter Pan characters). Everything will ship next Thursday and Jack and Garth and I will be off to New Orleans and Oak Alley plantation for a much needed weekend of r&r.

I have much to share with you wonderful people- but first, I must dig myself out of the living room and find my way to the kitchen to put a pizza in the oven- it’s Thursday night and Thursday night=pizza & root beer=The Office.

lots of eckses and ohs

Just wait until next year when we won’t fit in that bouncer anymore.

I meant “he” — obviously my family and I have no plans to take over your bouncy seats. In fact, we should get off our butts and put our own infant containment units in the basement with the rest of the stuff Zadie’s outgrown.
