The Insectarium was so amazing. Garth and Jack both ate some crickets. I got up close and personal with some cockroaches, and we strolled through a butterfly garden.
The Saint Louis Cemetary no. 1 was amazing! Highly recommended.
We wandered the french quarter, had breakfast at Cafe du Monde, rode the St. Charles Streetcar, and dressed up for the Krewe of Boo Halloween Parade.
We stayed at Oak Alley Plantation our last night and it was the best part of the trip. Better than the parade and the cricket eating. Perfect.
Lots of love my little friends,
elle

Wow, love the trees at the plantation! What a cool place to stay, that one’s on my list.
Looks like tons of fun, except the eating of crickets.
Can’t wait to stay awhile in Nola, too! Got your package today – thanks! Looks like we’ll have some great plantation cooking over the holidays! Yays for beignets! (rhymes!!) Love you, Mom.
Thanks for the wonderful trip, Honey.
And, the crickets weren’t bad Stephani. Actually, laura had to talk me in to it. They tasted like fried rice puffs with cajun spices on them. They also had some that were cinnamon sugar.
