Newly thrifted items that’ll soon be bow ties and journals! The books I purchased at Bienville Books on our recent trip to Mobile, and the ties were all purchased at a single thrift store on a single trip- makes me wonder if they were all owned by the same person.
I haven’t been that great about posting- I am right in the middle of the early-pregnancy-tired-and-grumpy syndrome. I don’t ever feel good, and the number of things that I’d like to get done hasn’t dwindled, so it makes for a frustrating situation for me (and Mr Jack, who is as sweet as can be and just wants to play with everything and hang out with Mom all day). I am not enjoying my life right now- and that makes me feel guilty. Guilty that I can’t keep the house clean. Guilty that I take Jack to daycare for 12 hours a week, just to get time to work on my little business and devote some uninteruppted time on projects that require it. Guilty that by the time Garth gets home from work I am wiped out and am not a charming or gracious wife. In fact, I make him get me snacks in bed just about everynight.
It’s temporary, and this pregnancy funk is mostly in my head. I know this because the following are all from this week:
My life is pretty darn fabulous. I hope that I can remember that this week.
I hope all ya’ll remember how fabulous your lives are too.

Gosh, XOELLE!…I feel just like you do and I’m not pregnant! hugs
darlin, what you do for you “little buisness” most folks would need 40 hours a week of daycare. The fact that you do all of that with only 12 is freaking amazing!
We think you are an amazing, talented, wonderful lady!
LOVE LOVE *LOVE* that bathroom picture of Jack!! That just totally made me giggle. Did he know that you were already in the bathroom when he was letting the TP fly free? ;o) Don’t feel guilty…you’re one of the most creative people I know! I’ve heard lots of friends who are pregnant go through what you are going through right now. And if what Kat says is true about you cranking out things in 12 hours compared to the “normal” 40, you’re doing GREAT!! *hugz* If I was anywhere near you I’d be more than happy to help you out!!
Ah, I hear ya, those early pregnancy days can throw life right out the window. But you’re right, it’s so temporary, and you are seriously doing amazing with everything you’re doing. I pretty much fed my kids waffles for dinner every single night when I was pregnant, and the laundry and dishes only got done when my husband got sick of looking at them. Oh, and I made him bring me snacks and drinks in bed too. =)
I too have a fabulous life, Thanks for reminding me.
That last photo is just adorable!!!! Love your stuffs as usual! I hope that you are feeling better!
You are doing just great you are a good friend, wife and mother and having your son in daycare for a few hours a week won’t kill him. It makes my head spin with all the stuff you are trying to do I can’t keep up with even half of that and I’m not pregnant so I wouldn’t worry about it.
You’re doing great honey
I really like getting you snacks any time.:)
