Newly thrifted items that’ll soon be bow ties and journals! The books I purchased at Bienville Books on our recent trip to Mobile, and the ties were all purchased at a single thrift store on a single trip- makes me wonder if they were all owned by the same person.
I haven’t been that great [...]

Happy eleven months! You’re more little boy than baby, and you discovered so many new things to love this month!
You and I got to visit Washington State and hang out with grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. We both got sick, but it was such a nice trip (and warmer than it was [...]

Happy Mardi Gras ya’ll! Today was very un-fat for us here. Garth returned to work after a four day weekend, Jack cried his way through 6 hours of daycare, and I made 16 bow ties and caught up on some e-mail. We’re living a short card-ride away from the big easy so [...]

You are now ten months old and enjoyed your first Christmas! We dressed you in happy pajamas and green and white stripey socks. Santa left you a Mater truck and your grandparents and aunts and uncles spoiled you with awesome gifts. It was a relaxed day- and we’re trying to stock up [...]

Happy Birthday Mr Awesome!
January 5th, 2010 No Comments
Garth is 31 today. He is such a super person, and that makes me one lucky girl. He woke up this morning on his birthday, made Jack a bottle, then let me sleep in and brought me hot chocolate in bed. Gosh, if only everyday was his birthday!
love you, Mr. Awesome.
Mrs. Awesome.

It was awesome. Jack now has a playroom full of toys that sing and wiggle and light up, thanks to his wonderful grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins (and Santa!). Hope you all had the best Christmas yet!
Also hoping that you’re enjoying this last sliver of 2009.
see you next year,
elle

Mr Jack’s first mohawk
December 20th, 2009 2 Comments
Story: Mr Jack (who was sporting a mohawk for the first time in his whole life) peed on his Dad’s pants tonight right before his Dad’s piano solo at a Christmas concert. I quietly slipped out and took him to the restroom, where I discovered that not only were his pants soaked, but [...]
