I’ve been squirreling away these fuschia and awesome ties waiting for the big love holiday. And these are HOT! Each is made from a necktie, so there’s only one available in the shop. And, in case you didn’t know, bow ties make ladies’ knees weak. It’s totally true.

wow you guys. Ya’ll kept me working during this last weekend. THANK YOU. It took me two and a half days to pack up all the orders- and I listened to Christmas music the whole time. How cute are these two? They are so in love- as am I with the fact that I get to make bow ties for people to wear on such important and lovely days. Look! It’s on the cake topper too! Love love love. I’ve added these images to the gallery- keep sending them my way!

And I am so in love with this too. These just went out to a bride who’s having a vintage carnival themed wedding in Singapore. They are all screenprinted designs on silk and wool. So awesome! I cannot wait to see these sweeties in action. Have I mentioned that I love my job?!

I really didn’t plan on this happening.

My last set of bow ties ended up being all matchy-matchy. I think it’s because several months ago I organized all of my “turn into bow ties someday” clothing into colors and so they happened to all be next to one another when it was time to make more. However it happened, it makes me smile. They are all in the shop right this very minute in large enough quantities to outfit your entire chess club!

I’ve been trying to get my inventory up to 100 ties but can’t seem to get over that 40 mark. This is due to the fact that bow ties are being purchased and shipped all over the world though, so I can’t really complain. The plan was to get up to 100 bow ties and then work on some limited-edition bow ties that I’ve been excited about since winter- so I might just need to skip the 100-in-inventory goal and get to the good part, or I might never get to those awesome ties! Totally. Thanks for thinking that through with me.

Just a little sample of the custom orders I’ve been working on this last month or so- all wedding except for the bow tie/cummerbund set, which was a prom set for a preppy football player.

Lots more bow ties being added to the shop this week, and dozens more in progress. So, back to work for me!

I love it when I can look through my stash of thrifted neckties and find several that are similar. All four of these ties were manufactured in different cities, for different companies, at different times, and worn by different men, working different jobs. All made their way one way or another to Pensacola, FL where I turned them into bow ties. Two have already passed through my hands to another owner. Awesome. These two are still left and excited to continue their stories. Awesomer.
