My life right now is this out-of-balance & out-of-whack crazy/unpredictable/predictable ball of randomness. Our move from one state to another has really upheaved our lives. I can’t seem to get into a routine. We are living in a temporary rental house in the heart of Honolulu with only a few basic items. [...]

We are still unsettled, living out of a month-to-month unfurnished apartment with only the stuff we brought over on the plane in two sea bags. There has been lots and lots of this:

Oh it has been a marvelous holiday, my friends. Garth had 4 days off in a row and I tried my hardest not to wander into my studio (the living room) and work. Mostly we stayed in our pajamas ( we each got two sets this year!), watched movies, and drank hot chocolate. [...]

It has happened again. That million-things-to-do rush that leads up to Christmas has come to an end only because the days hours until Christmas are so short. Those items on my list that I just didn’t get around to (gosh, I say that so casually as if I haven’t been up until 2 [...]

We’d been working on our costumes for about a week and got them to a wearable state (a few hems remain unfinished- notice the strings hanging off the bottom of my dress) and packed up the car and headed for downtown. And it’s hard to take direction (“hold this sign”) from Mom when there’s a new way to answer “no” to practice (which looks like a referee calling a ball “safe”).
