The blue was lovely. I wish that I had the time (it took 8 hours to dye it initially, and 6 the last time I had my roots done) and the money (we’re talking three digits every visit) to maintain it. I will be blue again someday. But for now, it’s a bittersweet goodbye to blue.

Hello dark ash brown. It’s pretty close to my real hair color, and it reminds me of that glorious time a few years ago when I was living on Banker’s Hill in San Diego and I met a super cute bow-tie-wearer that took me on dates on his motorcycle. I was dark ash brown then too.
